CAPABILITY
This IDE raid system includes both SCSI-to-IDE and Fibre-to-IDE disk array
subsystem powered by a PowerPC processor. With advanced firmware functions
as well as 64-bit hardware architecture, data is distributed and processed
at raging speed. Environmental information is accessible either via the
LCD control panel or through the easy to use Raid software.
FEATURES:
 The 280-SFI is compact for versatile desktop applications with
2U in height and 8 bays capacity.
For the high performance of PowerPC, data can be delivered
efficiently to eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks.
The Raid diskarry system provides automatic drive failure detection,
automatic failed drive rebuilding, hot spare and background rebuild,
disk hot swap and online background rebuilding.
The new 280-SFI can now support redundant hot-swappable power
supplies modules with zero-down time system operation.
This 2U 19" Raid subsystem offers high performance of host inter-
face in ultra 160 LVD SCSI (160MB per second transfer rate) or
Fiber Channel (200MB/sec).
Hot-swappable cooling fans are removable and washable in order
to keep out dust and dirt for ideal system airflow.
Eight of 3.5" hot-swap EIDE ATA/UDMA-133 IDE hard drive bays are
installed in the system, which allows one HDD failure without
impacting existing data.
Using IDE drives can save the data storage cost up to 75% for its
affordability and capability for many applications.
